FAST & EASY TO USE

Lithium battery fires can be unpredictable. Many fire suppression products require aqueous liquids to be used and the FAA Safety Alert for Operators (SAFO) 09013 recommends dousing a runaway device with water and wait for cooling, but:
  • Most smart phones, tablets, and some laptops today are WATERPROOF thus preventing water from reaching the cells of the battery.
  • Sometimes, large quantities or NO WATER is readily available at 30,000+ feet
  • FAA Testing confirms tablets deflect water
  • FAA SAFO 16001 dated January 19, 2016 states Halon Fire Extinguishers are incapable of preventing a Lithium-ion battery fire/explosion
  • Some reports suggest Li-Ion batteries don’t react negatively with water, but multiple sources indicate otherwise
  • You will likely need assistance to HOLD other fire bags upright to keep the water inside
  • Bags that don’t properly seal can release excessive TOXIC SMOKE requiring the need for masks and will cause extensive smoke damage in the cabin
  • Other fire containment products on the market require excessive time-consuming steps, when time is of the essence!
